I make situations
in which perception can no longer remain where it started.
For more than two decades, my practice has moved between performance, movement, visual art and collaborative research. I work with the body not as an object to be represented, but as an instrument through which perception, memory and knowledge can shift. Repetition, rehearsal, interruption, participation and chance become ways of testing what we think we know.
I am drawn to the unstable territories between things: visible and invisible, intention and accident, individual and collective, here and elsewhere, knowing and not-knowing. I often create open situations where authorship, meaning and outcome are deliberately unsettled, allowing the work to be altered by bodies, materials, places and other forms of knowledge.
My practice has changed ground over time, with different directions. Displacement, collaboration, scientific enquiry, cultural memory and personal experience have each altered the conditions from which I work. In each a relational ground is shaped. More recently, a profound loss and a new geographical and personal context have brought questions of impermanence, presence and what remains into sharper focus.
I am not interested in beginning again. I am interested in returning differently: following an existing thread into unfamiliar territory and asking what, under changed conditions, can become visible, knowable—or come to matter.

Despite navigating one of the most challenging periorsds of my life, I am proudly greatful to embrace art both as a refuge and a force of transformation.
This residency marks a deeply personal chapter - an exploration of resilience, where performance, movement, and sculptural forms become a vessel for healing and renewal, this new periord seeks to embody the tension
between fragility and strenght, creating work that with the complexities of being human. Art, in its purest form, is my way of finding equilibrium amid chaos.
